Dry Eye Center

Gurnee Eye Care is proud to announce the formation of their brand new Dry Eye Center. This center is located within our existing practice and is dedicated solely to the diagnosis and management of Dry Eye Disease.

Dry Eye Disease is a multi-factorial disease that affects over 20 million Americans. This chronic, progressive disease in the early stages has very few signs, but can create many symptoms (burning, watering, itchy, gritty, blurry, etc.) that can lead to significant suffering by the patient.

Since Dry Eye Disease is inflammatory in origin, patients who suffer from other systemic inflammatory conditions (arthritis, hormone imbalance, IBS, thyroiditis, etc.) are most susceptible to having Dry Eye Disease. If you suffer from these systemic ailments and also have ocular symptoms and complaints, you may be suffering from Dry Eye Disease.
